Using Shortcodes

Template Editor V2 uses curly brace shortcodes that get replaced with actual product data:

Shortcode Output
{product_title} Product name
{display_price} Price with currency symbol
{price} Price without currency
{product_description} Full description
{product_main_image} Main product image
{img_url_1}, {img_url_2} Specific gallery images
{product_gallery} All product images
{product_attributes} Product specifications

Most shortcodes are inserted automatically when you add a block.

Customizing Your Template

Color Scheme

Set your brand colors in the template settings sidebar:

  • Primary Color - Main accent color (headers, buttons)
  • Secondary Color - Supporting color (backgrounds, borders)
  • Text Color - Default text color
  • Link Color - Color for clickable links

Adding Your Logo

  1. In template settings, find the Logo section
  2. Enter your logo image URL
  3. Set maximum width (default: 200px)
  4. Choose position (left, center, right)

Mobile Optimization

Templates are mobile-responsive by default. The Mobile Breakpoint setting (default: 768px) determines when the mobile layout activates.

Previewing Your Template

Click the Preview button to see how your template looks with sample product data. Use the viewport buttons to check desktop, tablet, and mobile views.

Assigning Templates to Listings

  1. Go to eBay > Listing Profiles
  2. Edit or create a profile
  3. In the Template dropdown, select your V2 template
  4. Save the profile
  5. Products using this profile will display with your template

Tips for Great eBay Templates

  1. Put key info first - Title, price, and main image should be immediately visible
  2. Use mobile-friendly fonts - Minimum 14px for body text, 18px+ for headings
  3. Include all images - The Product Gallery block ensures buyers see everything
  4. Show specifications - The Attributes block builds buyer confidence
  5. Keep it clean - White space and simple layouts perform better

Migrating from V1 Templates

Your existing V1 templates continue to work. To migrate:

  1. Go to eBay > Listing Templates
  2. Open your V1 template
  3. Use Duplicate to create a copy
  4. Recreate the design using V2 blocks
  5. Update your listing profile to use the new V2 template
